The consortium meeting of SAFEWAY "GIS-based infrastructure management system for optimized response to extreme events on terrestrial transport networks", will be held in Guimarães, Portugal, at the University of Minho on 20th and 21st of March 2019.

SAFEWAY leads to significantly improved resilience of transport infrastructures, developing a holistic toolset with transversal application to anticipate and mitigate the effects extreme events at all modes of disaster cycle.

The meeting will be dedicated to the following topics:

  • Present status of the project: management and logistics;

  • Ongoing tasks and intermediate results;

  • Immediate and short-term actions;

  • Future tasks and works.

  • Presentation of the consortium and EC message

  • Presentation of project management, meeting and communication procedures

  • Plenary discussion about the vision, goals, scope, and approach of the project.

  • Plenary conclusion. Decisions on the upcoming deliverables.​

  • Plenary session on technical WPs "Civil engineering": WP 2, 3, 8, 9

  • Plenary session on technical WPs "ICT": WP 4, 5, 6, 7

  • Parallel session / small group discussions to define immediate follow-up actions for each WP/Task.

  • Final conclusions and decisions for the next meeting
